Description
- Receive, respond to and where appropriate triage media requests.
- Draft and publish media statements and press releases.
- Where appropriate, provide briefings to the media on various issues.
- Forge effective relationships with stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.
- Assist with drafting and editing new website content/copy.
- Draft speech notes for Conferences.
- Draft and publish media release for upcoming announcements and manage related media requests.
- Provide written communications support and advice to the wider team and stakeholders.
Profile
A successful PR/Communications Officer should have:
- Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- 1-2 years experience in a PR/Communications role, preferably in sports media.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful public relations strategies.
- Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
