Civil Construction Surveyor

Waters Excavations is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Surveyor to join their dedicated team. As a construction surveyor, you support supervisors in delivering projects and providing accurate survey setouts and machine control designs to guide the construction work.Â
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the correct information is always available to the team and recorded for quality assurance deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:

• Set up calibration files for projects using provided control points for localisation.
• Set up machine control files for precise excavation, grading and alignment of construction elements.
• Utilise Trimble total stations, GNSS receivers, drones and other survey equipment for accurate data collection and layout.
• Set out tasks for structure, kerbing, pavements, roads, and drainage systems.
• Conduct land surveys.
• Process survey data using Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Agisoft Metashape.
• Operate drones for site scanning, topographical mapping, and volumetric surveys.

Requirements:

• Mathematical aptitude.
• Good computer skills.
• Current driverâs license.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans/drawings/specifications.
• Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks with minimal direction.

This role requires a strong technical background, an excellent understanding of surveying principles, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
