Our client is an industry leader within wholesale that is continuing to grow due to a commitment to innovation, quality and collaboration. With a workforce of approximately 29 and over 60 contractors, they endorse state of the art facilities in the northern suburbs and are looking for a Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Lead who is equally as committed to the operational excellence of the business and its operations.
About the Role
Reporting into the COO, this role is responsible for managing and ensuring site-wide compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental systems. This includes creating and implementing policies and procedures, as well as handling reporting and audits. Driving quality management and performance improvements by maintaining and reviewing the HSEQ system to ensure it aligns with current laws and regulations.
This role is Monday-Friday, 38 hour week (flexible hours), 100% office based, free parking on site.
Duties
Some of your key duties will include but not be limited to:
- Act as the Quality Management System (QMS) representative and lead auditor;
- Conduct internal and drive external audits to ensure compliance with ISO45001 OHS standards and ISO9001 QMS
- With support from a OH&S Consultant, drive a key project focused on the implementation of a unified Integrated Management System which will be rolled out within the next 6 months
- Ensure that all HSMS, Environmental & QMS related documents such as policies, procedures and SOP's are routinely reviewed for continuous improvement
- Review and maintain their Risk management Strategy, risk register and control strategies; providing regular risk reports as required
- Monitor and maintain the Environmental Management System (EMS) and associated plans
Skills & Experience
To be a successful candidate you must have:
- Previous experience in a similar OHS & Quality Advisor or above role - 3 years minimum
- Diploma or Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and/or Quality Management & Assurance
- Proven experience maintaining a Management System (QMS, IMS, etc.) - essential
- Previous experience running Audits (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor preferable)
