Broad and commercial responsibilities, 2 days a week in the office and fast-growing business?

You will be a key person in small, but fast-growing finance team within an established Care services provider, based in Tuggerah.
You will provide commercial insights and reporting to a driven and high performing, but supportive leadership team.
This role will give you great flexibility with only 2 days required in office.
Paying up to 110k + Super + salary packaging (equivalent of circa 120k outside of NFP/Charity).
This role will suit someone who adaptable, quick-thinking and has strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries.

Complete balance sheet reconciliations, including subledger for Accounts Payable, Receivable and Payroll.

Complete complex month end journals, including Revenue Recognition, Payroll journals,
-
Complete Asset Register – additions, disposals, adjustment and depreciation.

Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.

Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.

Oversight of bank reconciliations.

Prepare Cashflow.
Financial Analysis:

Conduct analysis to reconcile Medicare transactions and ensure all Billing processes have been corrected applied and all available revenue received.

Conduct analysis to reconcile Payroll transactions and provide variance analysis.

Provide insights and recommendations for financial performance improvement.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including GST, IAS, BAS, and FBT.

Assist with aged care compliance requirements including Quarterly Financial Reports.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
Audit Support:

Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes.

Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation to auditors.

Address audit queries and implement audit recommendations.
Stakeholder Engagement:

Liaise with external stakeholders, including clients, auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.

Communicate financial information to senior management

Work closely with other members of the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff.
Ideal Profile:
-
CA, CPA or equivalent qualified. Those not studying or qualified by experience, will still be considered.

Advanced Excel skills.

Proven experience in a Financial accounting role.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent attention to detail.
