Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

On offer is a Permanent Full Time frontline Administration Officer position working 38 hours per week within Nepean Hospitals Cancer Care Centre.

The successful incumbent will provide effective and efficient service to patients and clients attending the Nepean Cancer Care Centre (NCCC) and to provide support to clinical teams working in the Centre. A typical day within this role would include a range of duties but not limited to front reception, bookings, retrieval of files, scanning of documentation into the patient information system and general office related tasks

What you will bring to the role

  1. Extensive administrative experience, including reception duties and well developed skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  2. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills when dealing with people with complex health needs
  3. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
  4. Capacity to undertake a diverse range of administrative tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment
  5. Experience in record maintenance and filing
  6. Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  7. Demonstrated ability to prioritise, co-ordinate and time manage daily tasks
