C C Components P/L is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person to join our team at our Newcastle branch.
Working alongside a highly experienced team, you will be provided the necessary training, mentoring and support required to carve a career in the conveyor belt industry whilst gaining hands on experience in the field.
About the Role:
As a Trades Assistant, you will be required to support our technical team in performing rubber lining and conveyor belt installations, repairs and maintenance, in the workshop and across a diverse range of customer sites. You will be tasked with learning how to select, prepare, install and perform repairs on conveyor belting and conveyor components, as well develop an understanding of other rubber applications, including rubber lining and pulley lagging.
Flexibility and a willingness to work outside of normal operating hours and on weekends as needed, is required and essential for this ro. Travel to customer sites outside of local surroundings to Branches may also be required from time to time.
Key Responsibilities :

Take a proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning the necessary skills and experience to deliver conveyor belting/rubber lining services to our valued clients.

Provide quality support to our team of experienced staff to deliver quality work in timely manner. This includes carrying out preparation and movement of stock, maintaining a tidy work area and other general trades assistance activities.

Under supervision, carry out preparation, installation, maintenance and repair of conveyor belting systems and components.

Under supervision, carry out rubber lining and pulley lagging activities including preparation of surfaces, selection and application of materials.

Execute and deliver all work safely and to a high professional standard

Liaise with colleagues, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner.
What you will need:
-
No experience in the industry is required. Some knowledge or experience in mining, construction or manufacturing environments advantageous.

Enjoy working hands-on in a physically demanding environment.
-
Intermediate mathematical skills, with the ability to perform measurements accurately.
-
A genuine desire to develop a career in the industry, with the motivation and enthusiasm to do you your best each day, is a must.

Construction Safety Awareness (White) Card (or willingness to obtain one)

Tickets such as Forklift, Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform would be advantageous.

Could suit recent school leaver.
