About the role
Hakea Grove Aged Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Roster Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis in Hamlyn Terrace, NSW. In this pivotal new role, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimising the staff rosters for our aged care facility for all services. You will be supported by our current Coordinator and HR Manager. This role is an office based role.
What you'll be doing

Responsible for the day to day management of 170 staff rosters across different departments

Develop and maintain comprehensive staff rosters to meet operational and legislative requirements

Liaise with department managers to understand staffing needs and coordinate appropriate coverage

Effectively communicate with employees to address schedule changes, shift swaps and leave requests

Monitor and report on staffing levels to identify areas for improvement

Provide administrative support to the wider HR and operations teams as needed
What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Roster Coordinator or similar administrative/scheduling role, ideally within the aged care or healthcare sector

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with employees at all levels

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to optimise staffing requirements

Proficient in using rostering software and Microsoft Office suite. High level of computer skills required.

Knowledge of relevant employment legislation and award conditions

Flexible and adaptable approach to accommodate changing business needs
