We are now seeking a Head of Department - Maths/Science to continue driving excellence and fostering progress, ensuring Everton Park SHS remains a school of choice for students and families.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

About the Role:

The Head of Maths/Science Faculty will drive high-quality teaching, effective resource use, and excellence in student learning. You will provide curriculum leadership in the Australian Curriculum: Maths and Science (7-9), and QCAA subjects. Central to this role is the responsibility to implement the school vision and explicit improvement agenda, with a strong focus on building pedagogical capacity. Your leadership will ensure innovative, engaging Maths/Science instruction that inspires curiosity, fosters critical thinking, and empowers all students to achieve success.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the implementation of the Maths/Science Curriculum (7-12) with a deep understanding of the Australian Curriculum v9 and the QCAA senior syllabus
  • Develop reliable assessment, adhering to the recommendations of the QCAA
  • Manage and support Maths/Science teaching staff
  • Manage Laboratory Technicians
  • Strategically resource the Maths/Science faculty
  • Drive school and system improvement priorities through the Maths/Science faculty
