Description:

You will support the research and development of quality training and development materials and processes for staff members and police officers in the area of intelligence. This includes facilitating training and development sessions and assessment of participants, reviewing and updating content focused on best practice, organisational priorities and stakeholder requirements.

Your Key Accountabilities:

The core capability requirements for this role are:

  • Conduct needs analysis in conjunction with Crime and Intelligence Command management and stakeholder groups to determine training requirements of Intelligence and Specialist Skills Section program participants and contribute to the development of strategies to meet these requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training and development programs in accordance with policies, best practices, procedures and standards.
  • Undertake assessment of staff and prepare reports based on these assessments.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of training policies, best practices, procedures and standards.
  • Undertake the assessment and evaluation of internal training and development programs.
  • Establish and maintain information management and other administrative systems to monitor the training and assessment of Intelligence and Specialist Skills Section program participants.

Role Requirements:

Qualification

  • While there are no mandatory requirements for this role possession of a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or accredited tertiary qualification in
    adult education would be highly regarded.

Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience

  • Successful completion of Intelligence Training Program and awarding of the Advanced Diploma of Police Intelligence Operations (or equivalent nationally recognised qualification) would be highly regarded.

Other

  • Position may require travel across the state, depending on training needs. Must be able to obtain National Security Clearance Neg Vet Level 1.
