The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Teaching & Learning, we invite applicants who will contribute to our Christian ethos to teach music and improve student learning within this subject area. Application of specialist skills and abilities in QCAA senior subject syllabi, middle schooling pedagogies, holistic student care and support of College co-curricular opportunities, are associated with these opportunities.
About You
This position would suit someone with a commitment to the ethos, Christian values and teachings of the College. The suitable candidate will also have:
- Demonstrated ability to teach Year 7 - 12 QCAA subject area syllabus highly desirable
- Current eligibility to teach in Queensland and work in Australia
- Ability to teach in a variety of subject areas could be an advantage
- Vocal expertise will be highly advantageous
- Willingness to assist in leading Grace Academy (co-curricular) vocal and/or instrumental ensembles, College Musicals and Touring opportunities
- Willingness to assist with GEL – Grow, Empower, Learn (student holistic care program), GEL lessons, Chapel supervision, Inter-School sporting teams or recreational activities
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary curriculum issues in education
- Awareness of National curriculum imperatives.
