MAINTENANCE PERSON
Full time salaried position

- Regular rotating roster including some public holidays and one weekend per fortnight

About the role:
Testament to the great team environment and for the first time in ten years, we have a vacancy for an experienced maintenance person at the Port Lincoln Hotel. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and Hotel Manager, you will perform general maintenance duties including hotel and accommodation plastering and painting, equipment repairs, minor plumbing and electrical works, stock handling and receipt of stock and other goods, liaising with external contractors, equipment repairs, assisting staff with rubbish, garden maintenance, external property maintenance and general requests.
You will assist the Maintenance Manager with duties, working in a team environment with maintenance staff and other department team members throughout the Hotel, following a preventative maintenance program, including air conditioning, refrigeration, fire prevention and safety equipment, electrical equipment, kitchen equipment, pool maintenance, testing and pest control.

Our facilities include Sarin's Restaurant, Bayside our casual indoor and outdoor dining and drinking area and Sharky's our Sport's Bar with a huge 3m wide LED screen just installed and a range of exciting new upgrades booked for installation very soon.
We also have a full floor of function facilities with three rooms catering from small to large social occasions, weddings, conferences and entertainment, anywhere from 3 to 300 people. All this is serviced by two fully equipped commercial kitchens and accompanies our impressive 111 accommodation rooms, 24 hour reception, gymnasium, outdoor solar heated pool, bottle shop and gaming lounge.
A big premises with a range of staff and public areas and equipment requires a dedicated maintenance team to keep it all in excellent condition and running at a high standard year round.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Have previous experience completing similar maintenance work
- Experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage
- A relevant trade qualification is desirable
- Forklift licence
- Be hard working with a high attention to detail
- Display a quality approach to maintenance, repair work and property presentation
