Role:

RJE Global are seeking an experienced WHSE Advisor’s to support the site management team based at Lonsdale Manufacturing Facility and Adelaide Regions, SA.

Reporting to the RJE Global WHSE Manager you will be responsible for supporting the team with all day-to-day work health and safety operations. You will be required to review, improve, implement, and enforce procedures. Complete incident investigations and reporting, providing advice and assistance on WHSE matters.

Assist in the induction of new employees and liaise with the company, client, suppliers and external representatives in relation to the site’s safety requirements and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, improve, implement and enforce RJE detailed WHSE systems and procedures.

  • Advise and ensure compliance with Australian WHSE Standards, codes of practice, acts and regulations to the works being performed.

  • Complete incident reports and investigations.

  • Provide general WHSE-related advice and assistance where required.

  • Provide site inductions for new site employees.

  • Serve as the key point of contact for WHSE-related communication with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and external stakeholders.

  • Hold and contribute to daily safety related talks with work crews on site, as required.

  • Ensure the use of company templates for risk identification and implement respective controls and actions.

  • Program and contribute to site safety observation walks with internal and external safety audits.

  • Review sub-contractor safety systems and ensure they meet the site safety obligations and expectations.

  • Prepare written materials including Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), safety alerts, incident reports, correspondence and communicate these to the RJE Global WHSE Manager.

  • Support the education and development of RJE’s Site Safety Representatives and employees.

  • Monitor industry developments and liaise with relevant representatives regarding safety and best practice.

  • Assist site management in conducting risk assessments for worksites, plant & equipment, hazardous substances and tasks.

  • Ensure the test and tagging of appropriate tools and the maintenance of associated records.

  • Ensure proper storage, handling and labelling of dangerous/hazardous materials.

  • Enforce RJE’s disciplinary, drugs, and alcohol policies for both employees and contractors on site.

  • Ensure the development and documentation of site-specific Safety and Environmental Management Plans.

  • Act as the site Environmental Representative, overseeing environmental compliance and initiatives.

  • Provide support to site teams with WHSE system requirements, documentation, and report preparation, ensuring smooth handover of safety documentation.

Required:

  • Minimum WHS qualification; Cert IV in WHS

  • Provide First Aid & CPR Qualification

  • Drug & Alcohol Collector Training

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong understanding of WHSE documentation used in construction site’s

  • Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work to tight schedule

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Methodical, accurate, and detail-oriented work approach

  • Construction White Card

  • Driver Licence

Advantageous:

  • Diploma in WHS

  • Cert IV in Training & Assessing

  • ICAM Lead Investigator Training or equivalent

  • Experience working on heavy industrial construction sites

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to liaise at all levels within the company
