About this Opportunity
RJE is seeking a Finance Manager – Commercial with strong construction project understanding. Based at RJE Global, join our finance team and drive the operations and performance of the organisation. Reporting directly to the CFO, RJE Global, this role combines your financial expertise with operational exposure to the construction industry to ensure RJE Global achieve their long-term goals. As the Finance Manager - Commercial, you will take responsibility for revenue, projects and manufacturing divisions and deliver actionable insights that guide decision-making across all levels of the organisation. You will assist in budgeting, forecasting, compliance & governance, and reporting. Your role will also include working with key internal and external stakeholders and collaborating with the finance team to ensure financial stability, transparency, and success.
Key Responsibilities

Provide financial oversight for projects, including budget control and performance analysis.

Take ownership for revenue including WIP calculations, process improvements and adherence to AASB 15.

Support and responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.

Support Financial Accounting in month end close activities.

Responsible for Capex budgets and fixed asset management.

Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, taxation laws, and regulations.

Drive financial systems improvements and process optimisation.

Support and mentor team members in finance and the broader business.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners such as project managers, group finance teams, department managers, and auditors.

Operate Finance as a service to the broader business.
Experience
-
5+ years of finance experience.

Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.

Exposure to financial modelling, ERP systems and the Microsoft Office suite.

Ability and willingness to work independently but more importantly as a team.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA/CA qualification or working towards.

Great attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable

Demonstrated experience in project accounting in construction or similar industries.

Experience in systems implementation and process improvements.
