The opportunity

The position of Credit Analyst at Easy Loans plays a critical part in the process of evaluating and assessing the creditworthiness of potential borrowers seeking mortgage loans. This position is essential for ensuring that the Broker makes informed lending decisions while managing risk effectively.

This position will be a hybrid role, as the Credit Analyst will also be responsible for contributing to the loan packaging, processing, and settlement tasks. The Loan Processing aspect to the role will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Broker throughout the loan origination and processing stages. This role is critical for ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of mortgage applications, facilitating communication with clients, and assisting in the compliance and documentation aspects of the mortgage lending process.

Key responsibilities & duties:

  • Evaluate loan applications and assess the creditworthiness of borrowers.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and risk assessments.
  • Interpret and analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents.
  • Collaborate with the underwriting team to make informed lending decisions.
  • Monitor and manage credit exposure and risk levels.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve credit policies and procedures.
  • Proactively generating business through outbound calls

Qualifications

  • Commitment to completing Cert IV at minimum in this role

Work experience and skills

  • Proven experience in a loan processing and/or settlement role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
