The role
No two days here will be the same, you’ll join an established team, and play a key role in maintaining a large and diverse fleet - a mix of new and seasoned John Deere and CAT machinery. You’ll be equipped with a modern, state-of-the-art workshop, with all the latest gear at your disposal; to keep everything running smoothly, from tractors to graders, dozers and generators.
Collaboration here is key, as you’ll work closely with the internal team of 30 operators as well as dedicated external suppliers, like RDO, to coordinate and deliver on enhanced machinery servicing schedules.
Sample of machinery you’ll be working with:
- Tractors: Mix of 8R, 8RT, 9R, and 9RT series, totalling 14 units
- Scrapers
- Graders: Multiple units
- Compactors
- Excavators: Various
- Bulldozers: D11, D10
Our ideal candidate will be passionate, hard-working and take pride in keeping machinery in top condition, even when deadlines are looming. You'll also have:
- Australian-recognised Heavy Vehicle / Field Service / Mobile Plant / Agricultural Mechanic trade certificate, with post-trade experience maintaining a similar fleet
- Experience with CAT and/or John Deere machinery is essential
- MC licence will be advantageous, but by no means essential
- 8 months at 11.5 hours per day, every other Saturday
- 4 months at 10 hours per day, 5 days per week
- Highly competitive package: $55-$70ph (negotiable) + Super + accommodation, relocation assistance, on-site meals and 6 weeks annual leave.
