About the role
We are looking for a receptionist to join our growing and busy campus. The ideal candidate is a friendly and experienced professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. This new position is available from Mid-April and requires providing exceptional reception support to our Junior school community.
What you'll be doing
- Greeting visitors and members of the school community in a friendly and welcoming manner when they arrive at reception.
- Responding to incoming phone calls, emails and other inquiries in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Managing the school's reception area and ensuring it is always well-presented.
- Assist students who present to sick bay for initial first aid treatment.
- Tidy student sick bay area and replenish first aid items.
- Distribution of mail and parcels to staff.
- Alumni data base management.
- Assist with Student Services regarding Attendance.
- Liaising with staff, students, and parents to address queries and resolve issues.
- Liaise with parents when required on behalf of students.
- Other ad hoc admin duties as required by Head of Primary.
What we're looking for
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.
- Friendly, professional and customer-service oriented approach.
- Able to manage competing priorities.
- Desirable: First Aid Certificate or be willing to undertake a First Aid course.
- Previous experience with SEQTA is an advantage.
