Contracts may be offered for up to five years, with possibility of further extensions or contract. THE COMMISSION The Corruption and Crime Commission (the Commission) is WA's leading anti-corruption agency whose purpose is to expose and disrupt corruption, serious misconduct and organised crime.

The Commission works to give the WA community confidence that public officers act in the public interest. The Legal Services Directorate supports the Commission in the performance of its functions under the Corruption, Crime and Misconduct Act 2003 (CCM Act) by providing independent advice, representation, training and leadership in relation to all aspects of the Commission's business and operations. THE OPPORTUNITY

The Director Legal Services plays in a critical role in the Commission's leadership team. The Director leads the Commission's legal function through the coordination of a high quality legal service that delivers legal, legislative and policy advice to the Commission and its officers to meet the Commission's strategic objectives and ensure compliance with relevant legal obligations. The Director Legal Services leads a team of motivated, high performing lawyers and paralegals to ensure that the Commissioners, Chief Executive and broader Commission receives expert legal advice on a range of complicated legal and policy matters.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: We are looking for an experienced legal professional who will: Lead and coordinate the Commission's legal services Influence and engage at the executive level Navigate complex legal and regulatory matters For more information about the position and to assist with your application, please refer to the job description form.
