Jacobs Transmission & Distribution team is seeking a talented Lead Earthing and Electromagnetic Transients Engineer to join our innovative consultancy engineering services. As a trusted adviser to our clients, we deliver cutting-edge Substation and Transmission Line designs that meet business requirements on time and on budget. We're looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer passionate about delivering earthing and electromagnetics consulting services across diverse APAC projects. The ideal candidate will excel in collaborating with clients and engineers, both locally and globally, to ensure seamless delivery of design packages. Key responsibilities include
Develop and deliver high-quality project deliverables, participate in project and client meetings, representing Jacobs with professionalism and expertise.Forge relationships with key client accounts across utilities, mining, industrial/processing, water/wastewater, rail, and infrastructure sectors.Provide technical input for bid preparation, leveraging your expertise to secure new opportunities.Perform on-site activities including inspections, observations, and specialized testing (soil resistivity, off-frequency current injection, EMF, and EMI).Utilise advanced software packages such as CDEGS and PSCAD to support project deliverables.Conduct comprehensive studies on Conductor selection, Lightning performance, Insulation coordination, Corona effects, Earth Potential Rise (EPR), Low Frequency Induction (LFI), Electric and Magnetic Fields (EMF), Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Transients (EMT).
