Join St John WA as our Manager Safety, Injury Management and Prevention, a permanent full-time role based in Belmont . You will lead and oversee a team of health and safety professionals in fostering a safe and thriving work environment. You will play a key role in shaping safety strategies, driving cultural change, and providing expert guidance on workplace health and safety matters.

What you’ll do:

  • Shape the vision and strategic direction for workplace safety
  • Lead Safety, Injury Prevention, and Injury Management Support teams
  • Provide expert advice on WHS legislation, compliance, and risk management
  • Oversee investigations, incident reporting, and preventive safety measures
  • Manage WHS, Workers’ Compensation, and Injury Prevention programs
  • Develop and implement WHS reporting frameworks
  • Promote a strong safety culture through training and awareness campaigns
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet service, cost, and time expectations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in safety practices
  • Support and mentor team members while managing people-related matters

What you’ll need:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in health and safety management
  • Strong knowledge of WHS regulations and best practices
  • Leadership experience in managing WHS teams
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and drive continuous improvement
  • Certification in health and safety (e.g., AIHS, NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.
