About the Opportunity
As a Senior Technician, you will be challenged by a diverse range of projects for major national and international oil and gas clients. You will be involved in the assembly and testing of offshore drilling equipment at ICON’s Carlisle facility, as well as operation and maintenance of ICON equipment at various locations both offshore and overseas. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and be a confident communicator. For the right applicant, ICON will provide training and opportunities to upskill to work in the offshore oil and gas sector. Both Casual and Permanent contracts are available.
Core responsibilities include:
- Offshore and international travel to client sites to operate and maintain ICON rental equipment.
- Complete maintenance and maintenance records.
- Repair, overhaul, and test hydraulic equipment.
- Complete commissioning and acceptance testing.
About You
- Trade qualification in a relevant discipline, and 5+ years industrial experience (offshore experience is a plus).
- Flexible to travel to various locations as required.
- Cert IV in Engineering (Fluid Power) will be highly regarded along with the sound knowledge of fluid power principles and the ability to read and interpret hydraulic circuits.
- Proficiency in hydraulic repair, testing, commissioning, and QA procedures.
- Ability to understand and provide feedback on engineering drawings, operations & maintenance procedures.
- Additional licenses such as forklift, EWP, dogging/rigging, HUET, and Working at Heights would be highly regarded.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
