The Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service which has been caring for the Broome community for more than 45 years. When we first opened our doors in 1978, BRAMS was the first remote Aboriginal Medical Service in Western Australia.
We deliver comprehensive, holistic and culturally responsive primary health care, social and emotional wellbeing services, and NDIS support to more than 6500 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Broome region.

About the role
BRAMS is seeking an innovative and passionate Health Promotion Manager to lead a dedicated team in delivering impactful health programs to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Overseeing the Tackling Indigenous Smoking Officers, RHD Health Promotion, and KIDS Club Project Officers, this role is pivotal in driving community health initiatives that promote better health outcomes.
You’ll be responsible for strategic planning, program implementation, evaluation, and resource management, ensuring all activities align with BRAMS’ policies, funding agreements, and quality care standards.

Benefits
- Competitive Salary of $115,000 - $130,000 per annum depending on experience

About you
To be successful in this role, you must address the following selection criteria:
- A degree or certificate in health promotion, public health, or a related field, with demonstrated experience in managing a health promotion team.
- At least 3 years’ experience working in an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Service.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams, foster a collaborative culture, and translate strategy into effective daily operations.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to set priorities, manage competing deadlines, and oversee financial services with initiative and efficiency.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, navigate complex cross-cultural settings, and handle sensitive issues with professionalism, discretion, and diplomacy.
