This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loadingWe are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Payroll Accountant to join a small team. In this role, you'll manage payroll processing, handle queries, and ensure compliance, with hybrid work options available after training. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process payroll on a regular basis.
- Respond to payroll-related queries from team members.
- Maintain records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Manage payroll system updates and ensure data integrity.
- Initially, this is an in-office role, but hybrid working options will be available once you have demonstrated knowledge in the role.
- Laptop and access to cloud-based systems will be provided.
- You'll work within a small team of 2, with occasional interactions with other restaurant staff who work from the office.
- Training: Basic procedure manuals will be provided, and support is available from the current payroll accountant (if they are available) and the payroll system team for any technical challenges.
- Personality & Culture Fit:
Previous experience with payroll in the hospitality industry would be ideal, but we are also open to candidates who are ready to learn quickly and hit the ground running.
- Ideally, experience with Access MicrOpay (formerly Sage MicrOpay), Xero, and Deputy time and attendance would be beneficial, but not mandatory.
- Vaccination Requirement: No vaccination required.
- Parking: Onsite parking is available.
- Location Accessibility: The office is located just a 10-minute walk from Balaclava Station or a 3-minute walk from tram stop 35 on the corner of Carlisle St/St Kilda Rd.
