We are currently seeking applications for a Secretariat Liaison Officer to join Revenue and Economics: Board of Treasurers Secretariat at The Department of Treasury & Finance.

Remuneration: ASO6 – Salary Range ($98,478 - 104,165 p.a.).

About the opportunity:

Reporting to the Director, Secretariat Board of Treasurers, the Secretariat Liaison Officer will provide high quality, professional and responsive administrative and project management support to the Board Secretariat.

The Secretariat Liaison Officer is responsible for:

  • Providing high quality, professional and responsive administrative and project management support to the Board Secretariat and ensure business support tasks are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Providing effective Secretariat support by planning, coordinating, scheduling and preparing information on a range of matters for the Board Chair, Board members, Senior Staff and stakeholders.
  • Providing a highly effective Secretariat service by providing expert advice and consultation in the identification of urgent, unresolved and emerging issues for resolution, and determine the appropriate action required.

About you

To be successful you will possess:

  • Proven ability to perform high-level administrative functions, identify potential issues, conduct research, work autonomously whilst using sound judgement and initiative.
  • Proven high-level interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise, consult and communicate both verbally and in writing with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior staff.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and liaise effectively, whilst maintaining and fostering positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, particularly the Board Chair, Senior Staff and Ministerial offices in all jurisdictions.
