The Senior Cabinet Liaison Officer is accountable to the Officer in Charge, Commissioner's Support Branch for the provision of executive support to the Commissioner of Police and the Deputy Commissioner of Police. The Senior Cabinet Liaison Officer provides formal responses to Ministerial, Cabinet and Parliamentary submissions, notes and legislation.
The position supervises and manages the provision of comprehensive briefing materials, information and research services concerning legislative enquiries; supporting the Commissioner's interactions with government; providing high level advice concerning Ministerial, Cabinet and Parliamentary related issues to employees of all levels in SAPOL; acting as Executive Officer to committees; undertaking special assignments and projects; maintaining registers; and assisting with quality control by reviewing and implementing changes to associated administrative systems to improve efficiency, The position is responsible for supervising the Cabinet Liaison Officer.
Special Conditions
- The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
- The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
- The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL’s iEngage program.
Salary
ASO6 - $98,478 - $104,165 per annum.
