Make an impact at SercoThe Work Health Safety and Wellbeing team provides Fiona Stanley Hospital with high quality consultancy, advice and support to help manage workplace health and safety risks. This includes injury prevention, injury management programs, Workers' Compensation claims management, pre-employment health and fitness for work assessments.As the WHS Specialist, you will play an important role in providing WHS service functions to meet key performance indicators of the WHS and Wellbeing team whilst supporting broader operations of the People Safety and Quality Services team.
Key Responsibilities includeProvide professional WHS advice and support, and engage, influence and coach the workforce to promote continual development and improvement in safety culture.Ensure effective communication and consultation regarding health and safety and provide compliant and timely WHS advice to all levels of the workforce.Liaise with various stakeholders and where required undertake investigations in line with relevant procedures.Monitor a shared mailbox, responding to WHS enquiries.Undertake projects where necessary.
Serco is a place for you.To be successful in this role you’ll have:Comprehensive knowledge of WHS legislationTertiary qualification in WHS Management and greater than 5 years’ experience in a similar roleRoot cause investigation trained (TapRoot/ICAM)Auditing experienceStrong stakeholder management and relationship building skills.Experience from complex and large organisations and/or similar sectors is highly desirable.Project management skills or experience in delivery of initiatives at an organisation level is highly desirable.
