We are currently working on multiple projects across the metropolitan area from Two Rocks to Mandurah and from Australind to Margaret River in the southwest region. Our projects have multiple active stages with project values ranging from $500K to $10million.
About the Role
As a joint custodian of the WHS management system, the role of WHS Advisor at Wormall Group is accountable for maintaining quality, integrity and currency standards to ensure the business protects workers from harm.
This role is responsible for supporting leaders to implement strategies to identify eliminate or manage hazard risks, Evaluate the effectiveness of systems and processes, contribute to continuous improvement and providing quality advice and information to assist line managers meet WHS expectations.
- Support the WHS Manager to implement successfully agreed strategies to continuously improve safety culture and manage hazard risks.
- Conduct undertakings in line with the company values;
- Coach and advise business leaders to improve the use of WHS tools and processes in the field based on analyse and evaluation.
- Mentor and support line managers to successfully implement safe systems of work, establish safe places of work.
- Conduct infield verifications of the use and outputs of WHS tools and processes.
- Support line managers to meet the required standard for reporting, investigating and completing of incident events;
- Lead high risk investigations;
- Analyse data and trends for weak signals and take corrective actions;
- Maintain a high-level understanding of legislation impacting WHS for the hazard risks of the business;
- Always maintain confidentiality and be tactful.
- Liaising with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
About You
- Demonstrate excellent planning and scheduling and time management skills;
- Work autonomously and support a team environment;
- Ability to analysis and interpret date and information to improve WHS performance and standards;
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills;
- Experience producing correspondence, written reports, and instructions to a professional standard;
- Strong leadership skillset with experience displaying skilful communication;
- Proven ability to communicate effectively to different stakeholders including executive, technical and operational audiences;
- Strong problem solving abilities and an analytical mindset;
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across multiple levels;
- The ability to manage business-as-usual system management with ongoing project work;
- Degree or formal relevant qualifications (Diploma minimum) in WHS or related fields;
- Lead Auditor certification in WHS and quality;
- Lead Investigator ICAM or Taproot processes;
- A current and valid Western Australia Drivers Licence;
- A current and valid Construction Card (White Card)
- Cert IV in training and assessing.
- Medium to advance proficiency levels in Microsoft 365 including Teams, Power Apps.
