Your role at St John of God Midland Public & Private Hospitals
This is a pivotal leadership role where you will be responsible for emergency department nursing, the after hours team, hospital clinical support and patient flow management. You will guide your team to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including St John Ambulance, the Hospital Executive, the State Health Operations Centre (SHOC), and other hospitals to ensure effective coordination of emergency services and patient movement across the health system.
We are looking for a highly skilled nursing professional who can lead change, drive innovation, and ensure the highest standards of emergency nursing and hospital-wide clinical operations management are achieved.
The Position
Extensive nursing experience in emergency care and hospital-wide patient flow Strong expertise in capacity management, hospital clinical operations, and demand planningProven leadership experience at a senior level, with the ability to engage and motivateExcellent problem-solving skills, capable of managing complex operational and clinical challengesStrong collaboration and communication skills, with experience liaising across hospital networks, ambulance services, and health system operations
To be successful in this role, you will have current registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, demonstrate extensive experience in nursing leadership within a hospital or clinical setting with a proven track record in strategic planning, workforce management, operational efficiency and achieving ACHS Accreditation.
