Bruce Rock Engineering is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join the team at our offices in Forrestfield. This position is:
- Full Time Permanent
- Monday to Friday local role
- Penalties paid on overtime after 8 hours per day
- Free Parking on site
- ASAP Start!
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair machinery, production equipment and plant facilities, adhering to manufacturing guidelines and safety standards.
- Ensure proper function of mobile plant by conducting regular inspections.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical issues in machinery, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation in relation to maintenance activities, repairs and equipment.
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, minimise downtime and carry out necessary repairs to resume production promptly.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance equipment efficiency, reliability and safety.
- Collaborate with other team members to provide technical support as and when required.
- Maintain workshop and work areas in a neat, tidy and safe condition.
About you:
- Mechanical and/or Electrical Trade qualification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Fitter in an industrial facility.
- Current Driver’s License
- High Risk Work License with Classes WP & LF & DG.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of industrial mechanics.
- Experience in the manufacturing/transport industry (Desirable).
- Understanding of basic electrical automation.
- Ability to read and follow instructions, understand work schedules and complete simple written reports.
