About the Opportunity
Our Project and BA team, based in Perth CBD, are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join them. In this role you will report to the Project and BA Manager.
The Senior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in analysing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategic solutions to enhance organisational efficiency. This position requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across multiple domains.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop comprehensive business analysis plans and ensure adherence to these plans throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct strategic analysis to identify business opportunities and challenges.
- Design solutions that align with organisational goals and objectives
- Use data analysis tools to process large datasets, identify trends, and provide insights.
- Utilise statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and data visualisation to support business decisions.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and technical staff.
- Develop and present detailed business cases, requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Analyse business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Recommend new process designs to enhance operational efficiency.
About You
Other key skills, experience and qualification:
- 10 years experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong background in enterprise environments.
- Proven experience in business process analysis and optimisation, with the ability to drive process transformation across the business.
- Track record of working on enterprise-level software projects and business process transformation initiatives.
- Ability to mentor junior Business Analysts and act as a subject matter expert on BA processes, methodologies, and techniques.
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to determine the value of change and assist stakeholders in decision-making.
- Strong Business Analysis credentials, such as IIBA certifications, and knowledge of BA toolsets like BABOK.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and to build new approaches and processes from scratch.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience in the financial industry is beneficial.
- Exposure to Scrum/Agile development teams is advantageous.
- Proficiency in SQL and Power BI, including building data models and visualisations. Technical aptitude to manage and organise data pipelines and sources for analysis.
- Familiarity with modern software concepts, such as APIs and databases.
