With continual growth and success, we are looking for a full-time Configuration Management Officer primarily working with the Systems Engineering Team, the role focusses on the effective provision of Configuration Management support in accordance approved with project schedules, whilst ensuring compliance with relevant process, commercial, quality, safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Contribute to formulation and delivery of Configuration Management Plans, associated processes and work instructions.
- Employ CM procedures and tools, including the Configuration Status Accounting System (CSAS) to support delivery of systems design IAW approved plans.
- Assisting the engineering teams in identification and establishment of Configuration Items (CIs) within the CSAS.
- Processing of CIs and products and their associated Technical Data within the CSAS as required.
- Support to engineering to ensure design drawings, documentation and technical data is appropriately identified, released, and controlled within the CSAS.
- Supporting to engineering to ensure the Functional, Allocated and Design Baselines are understood, defined, and documented.
- Support to engineering projects to evaluate, approve, implement and track changes to baselines in accordance with approved CMP’s.
- Undertake configuration status accounting and provide Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) reports on a regular basis.
- Support engineering projects to successfully complete FCAs and PCAs to confirm approved Design and Product Baselines.
- Participation in and provision of support to integrated project teams for delivery of assigned project scope.
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline
- 5+ years' experience in CMO role
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Demonstrated experience in Configuration Management including experienced in managing configuration of products in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, electronic document management system, or similar.
- Highly proficient in defence programs, government acquisitions and project systems
- Proactive manner, demonstrating strong CM administration and interpersonal skills. Including the ability to receive broad direction and develop plans to implement that direction.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, identify work priorities in a constantly changing environment.
