Division: Northern CPPYJ Location: Bathurst, NSW, AU, 2795 Dubbo, NSW, AU, 2830 Req ID: 73374We have two ongoing opportunities available at our Bathurst and Dubbo offices. We are looking for dedicated leaders to join the Joint Child Protection Response (JCPR) teams in the above locations.
Location – Bathurst and Dubbo
Employment type – Two Ongoing roles.
Salary - $125,693.00 to $129,228.00 pa + Superannuation and leave loading per year of service.
The Manager Casework (MCW) works on site at JCPR Bathurst in Bathurst and JCPR Western in Dubbo. Travel to other locations is also required. JCPR Western MCW is required to remotely supervise and manage caseworkers working from the Broken Hill Client Service Centre (CSC).
Your role
The Joint Child Protection Response (JCPR) Program links the risk assessment and protective intervention of DCJ with the criminal investigation of NSW Police and the forensic medical, treatment and support services of NSW Health. The program delivers a multidisciplinary response to serious child abuse matters across NSW.
What you’ll do
As part of the JCPR Team you will lead and supervise a team of caseworkers and work in collaboration with the NSW Police and NSW Health to provide coordinated services to vulnerable children, young people and families.
You will lead by example and demonstrate the principles of the Joint Child Protection Response Program and work to meet program objectives. You will value interagency partnership, workforce diversity and prioritise safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and young people.
You will ensure that children and young people remain the focus of assessments and make decisions, to ensure they are protected from further trauma and that they receive protective, therapeutic and other support services as determined.
What we’re looking for
- extensive experience in applying best practice casework with children, young people and their families
- experience leading and managing a team
- a degree in social work, social welfare or a related discipline
- a valid driver licence
