About the CompanyOur client, a global pharmaceutical company, is looking to hire a Laboratory Technician (Quality Control) on a 3-month contract to cover childcare leave within their driven Quality team. During this short-term contract, you will report to the QC Lead and manage the sampling on incoming raw materials and testing of packaging material against required specifications.
About The Role
- Coordinate the daily sampling activities of the lab to meet SOP standards, including the collection of incoming raw material samples, preparing associated paperwork, labels and submissions.
- Perform sampling of the active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) as directed by management.
- Accurately record and sign in samples, ensuring traceability and thorough documentation.
- Conduct testing on packaging material, ensuring it meets required specifications.
- Prepare the sample booth, sampling equipment and sample bottles, ensuring they are all maintained well and cleaned thoroughly.
- Ensure chemicals and solvent are being handled correctly.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth lab operations and support mutual success.
About You
- TAFE qualification in Pharmaceutical, life science or other laboratory related discipline
- Proven experience sampling raw materials.
- High attention to detail to accurately handle sampling and documentation.
- Solid chemical awareness when handling chemicals and solvents.
- Experience working in a manufacturing laboratory, with familiarity with GMP or GLP.
- Good team player, with the ability to function in a multi-functional team.
- Excellent communication skills.
