We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Service Manager to lead and grow our specialised service across the Hunter New England Health District. About the Role
This is a leadership position requiring strategic oversight and operational management of a critical service within the district. You will play a key role in ensuring good governance, building relationships with key stakeholders, and driving service improvements.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the overall operation of the service, including strategic planning, budget management, and workforce leadership.

Lead and manage staff, ensuring a high-performing, well-supported, and professional team.

Be the key contact and leader for the VAN (Violence, Abuse & Neglect) service across the district.

Work closely with clinicians, external providers, case conferencing teams, and community organisations to provide holistic support.

Collaborate with NSW Health, Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), Police, Emergency Departments (EDs), and other relevant agencies.

Implement new initiatives and drive service growth and improvement.

Deliver education and training to the community, rehabilitation groups, and external stakeholders.

Strong leadership and operational management experience.

Excellent relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Proven experience in change management and strategic planning.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Investigative and analytical skills.

Ability to navigate complex environments and drive service improvements.
