In this rewarding role you will work in a team environment where every day will be different. With your can-do attitude, you will be responsible for providing general assistance in the full range of domestic duties to ensure our residents are able to "Live Life to the Full" in our home-like environment.
We are looking to hire a casual employee who has previous experience in laundry and housekeeping. This role is based in our Casino facility.
As a Support Service Employee your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Assist with full range of domestic duties
- Clean picture frames, wall ornaments and sanitize all towel dispensers, light and air-conditioning switches
- Be responsible for the general cleanliness of the kitchen, including all appliances, storage areas, work benches and floors
- Prepare clothing, garments and linen for washing and drying and perform those duties using safe handling of laundry chemicals
- Make beds, change linen, turn mattress where necessary
- Wet dust all picture frames and wall ornaments
- Wet wipe and sanitize all towel dispensers, light and air-conditioning switches
- Wipe over all lights in front foyer, lounge, activities room, and at the entrance.
- Clean exhaust hoods in the kitchen
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Genuine compassion, commitment and enthusiasm
- Ability to work well in a team
- Empathy towards the elderly and respectful of their needs
- Flexibility to work on rotating shifts morning & afternoon Mon-Sun
- Able to provide evidence of COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations
