Description:

Deliver Nutrition services, appropriate with level of experience across a broad spectrum of work units as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders/clients of the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Dietitian to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Manage an allocated workload and participate in clinical rotation to deliver professional level nutrition and dietetic services to patients
  • Undertake routine nutrition assessment, implementation and evaluation tasks within established clinical and departmental protocols, policy and procedures
  • Assist in the development and/or review of clinical practices, procedures and protocols in a work area using the principles of evidence based practice under the guidance of senior staff
  • Actively participate in multidisciplinary teams, and in service improvement activities, working cooperatively and effectively within the team

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Tertiary degree in Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Working with Children check/Blue Card (GCH will cover cost)
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Temporary full time (12 months with the possibility of extension)
  • Base salary ranging from $79 051 - $116 189 per annum
