Job Summary:
We are currently seeking compassionate and motivated Support Workers (both female and male) to provide person-centered care and support to individuals living with disabilities. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting independence, and encouraging community participation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care such as showering, grooming, toileting, and dressing
- Assist with domestic duties including cooking, cleaning, and laundry
- Support clients with mobility and safe manual handling
- Transport clients to medical appointments, community activities, and outings
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Follow individual support plans and documentation requirements
- Encourage independence and support clients to achieve their goals
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare providers, and coordinators
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or relevant field (preferred)
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- Working with Children Check (if required)
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- COVID-19 Vaccination (as per government requirements)
- Good communication skills and a positive, respectful attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and sleepovers
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term
Pay: $30.84 – $38.95 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 38 per week
