At PFi you may be responsible for:

Recruitment:

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract high-calibre candidates for engineering, manufacturing, and project roles.
  • Draft and post job advertisements on appropriate platforms, ensuring alignment with company branding.
  • Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks.
  • Screen applications, conduct preliminary interviews, and coordinate technical assessments with relevant managers.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including reference checks and offer negotiation.

HR:

  • Streamline onboarding processes to ensure a seamless and engaging experience for new hires.
  • Prepare and coordinate new hire training schedules and assist with new hire documentation and inductions
  • Collaborate with managers to identify training needs and facilitate programs that enhance skills, career progression, and overall performance.
  • Assist with off-boarding practices that maintain professionalism, preserve relationships, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including workplace disputes, performance management, and compliance.
  • Oversee the administration and management of Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA) to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with leadership and external advisors during EBA negotiations and implementation.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of EBA changes and provide advice to managers and employees on implications.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and use data insights to drive decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on recruitment metrics, employee turnover, and HR initiatives.
  • Develop and implement initiatives that promote employee welfare, mental health, and well-being.
  • Coordinate staff engagement activities, such as team-building events, recognition programs, rewards, and surveys.
  • Act as a confidential point of contact for employee concerns, providing guidance and support as needed.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 years experience in recruitment and HR, preferably within engineering or project-based industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and EBA processes.
  • Proficient in interpreting Awards, enterprise agreements, and employment legislation, with an understanding of how they impact Payroll and HR processes.
  • Experience in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
