  • Base Salary $99,455 - $107,216 + 17% super, hybrid role, 3 days per week on Campus.

About the opportunity

As the Programs Officer, Operations and Engagement, you will provide engagement administrational, program and operational support in the delivery of a broad range of activities and tasks across the Education- Enterprise and Engagement area of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Education, at The University of Sydney . You will coordinate and liaise with multiple industry, government, and community stakeholders and proactively manage communications, ensuring effective collaboration and teamwork to achieve successful program delivery.

About the team

Education – Engagement and Enterprise is a dynamic business unit, focusing on delivery of the Industry and Community Projects Unit Program, and providing engagement and operational support to various other curricular and co-curricular teams within our business unit. This includes collaborations in events with the Careers Centre, Employability/ Sydney Connect and INCUBATE. We also manage University wide Education focused projects, as well as strategic internal projects.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • work within a dynamic team, reporting to the Manager, Programs and Administration, and working closely with the co-manager – Programs Manager, Engagement.

  • support the delivery of curricular and co-circular based activities by promoting student enrolments, responding to student enquiries, and assisting with project and unit of study activities

  • perform daily program engagement and administration activities within the EEE team such as: liaising with various stakeholders, diary management and meeting and event coordination

  • build ongoing professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders ensuring effective communication and on-going understanding of expectations and engagements

  • coordinate the organisation and delivery of workshops, student events and presentations

  • maintain and update content on communications channels such as email, newsletters, university student and external webpages

  • work directly with the Program Manager, Operations and Administration to ensure effective day to day operational management of the EEE office and its associated programs.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant work experience in a related field, preferably gained in a higher education environment

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with effective interpersonal skills, are essential for liaising with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage administrative processes with attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Experience with Power BI, Canvas, Sydney Student, or similar university systems is highly desirable.

Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
