The City of Launceston, an award winning Employer of Choice, is currently seeking to fill the following position:

Position Title: Municipal Employee - City Services

Position Number: POS1401

This role is part of the team responsible for the cleansing of Council assets including urban roads, malls, footpaths, gully pits, car parks and street bins.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates, through behaviour, an alignment and an understanding of our values and has the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Licence to drive a Medium Ridged Vehicle;

  • Demonstrated ability to undertake physical and repetitive tasks;

  • Ability to operate council vehicles, plant and equipment to the required standard;

  • Utilise computer systems and software to capture and or assign tasks. Demonstrated computer literacy to a level required of the position; and

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of safety, identify and respond to hazards and emergencies in an operational environment in accordance with our organisational values Good understanding of safe work practices.

Weekend overtime and after hours callouts, as rostered, are required of this position.
