About the role:

The Inclusive Teaching and Learning Directorate leads department disability reform including best practice advice regarding inclusive education, personalised teaching and learning and evidence-informed interventions.

The directorate also takes the lead in the provision of special options, specialised programs, Inclusive Education Support Program (IESP) funding, One Plan, Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD), Transport Assistance Program, Special Education Resource Unit, and the professional development and contributions to building workforce capabilities so that outcomes for students with disability and functional needs are continually improved.

The IESP Advisor Inclusive Planning is part of the team responsible for engaging with SA government preschools/schools to build capability around effective whole site inclusive planning for students with disability, with a particular focus on use of IESP funding to achieve improved outcomes.

Qualifications:

Essential: A tertiary qualification in education and/or equivalent experience.

Desirable: Relevant post graduate qualifications in the field of psychology/disability/special education/developmental education and/or project management experience.

Special conditions:

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:

S121 2 $131,315 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%).
