The Administration Officer provides administrative support to the Student Success Team and other HEPPP funded projects and initiatives that focus on the successful transition of students at CDU.
About the Position
As the Administration Officer, you will be responsible for the delivery of professional standards in office administration, finance reporting, communications, travel coordination and events planning and will support the broader administration of the Student Engagement team.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of Year 12 and/or Certificate IV in a nationally accredited qualification.
- Sound written communication skills, with the ability to respond to enquiries in writing and liaise with other teams across the University on sometimes complex cases.
- High level verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex processes or regulations, to provide clear information to customers and to communicate effectively and constructively with staff.
- Experience working in a team of customer service staff (in the vocational or higher education sector preferred) including collaborating to achieve shared goals.
- An outstanding commitment to customer-service for internal and external customers, delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
- Additional competencies for Level 5
- Completion of a Degree without subsequent work experience/completion of an Advanced Diploma Qualification and at least one (1) year experience/completion of a Diploma qualification and at least two (2) years’ experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education or training
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement of processes and practices and actively providing mentoring and training to colleagues.
- Track record in delivering best practice customer outcomes against a schedule of deadlines, with personal drive and self-motivation.
- Advanced level of technical proficiency in administrative systems and platforms, including the use of large corporate databases, MSOffice software.
- Understanding of issues facing equity groups in accessing higher education.
Desirable competencies
- Recent experience within the tertiary education sector and/or experience working directly with students.
- Demonstrated knowledge in event and/or marketing fields.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 4 - 5. The base salary will be in the range of $67,800 - $84,914 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $79,326 - $99,349 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
