Omari Bendigo (AC & JR GROUP PTY LTD) is a fully licensed restaurant located in the beautiful Bendigo Botanical Gardens. We are currently seeking a FoH Supervisor with a passion for hospitality and leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-of-house operations, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
As a FoH Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the venue, ensuring smooth service, and providing leadership to the front-of-house team. Your responsibilities will include managing customer relations, maintaining high service standards, assisting in staff training, and supporting the overall guest experience. Your proactive approach will ensure that Omari Bendigo continues to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere for all guests.
This is a starting casual role, and for the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to transition into a part-time contract role, offering more stability and growth within our team. Competitive hourly rates will be offered for the casual position, with the flexibility of casual hours.

Position Purpose
The FOH Supervisor plays a vital role in leading the day-to-day front-of-house operations, ensuring a seamless, professional, and welcoming guest experience. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, the FOH Supervisor supports the leadership and development of the FOH team while upholding Omari's high standards of service, hospitality, and atmosphere.
Key ResponsibilitiesService & Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional and consistent guest experiences aligned with Omari’s hospitality philosophy.
- Oversee daily FOH operations, including floor, bar, and host operations during service.
- Lead pre-service briefings and communicate daily objectives to the FOH team.
- Respond to guest feedback and complaints professionally, ensuring swift resolution and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure restaurant presentation is always of the highest standard (cleanliness, layout, ambience).
Team Leadership
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in managing and supervising the FOH team.
- Support team training, mentoring, and performance management to maintain a high-performing, engaged, and professional team.
- Motivate and lead the FOH team during service, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- Participate in recruitment and induction of new FOH staff as required.
- Assist with staff rostering and daily shift management to ensure smooth service.
Operational Support
- Work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Venue Manager to implement service improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure all FOH systems and procedures are followed, including cash handling, reservations, and POS operations.
- Maintain FOH equipment, fixtures, and supplies, reporting any maintenance or stock requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, promoting safe work practices.
- Support in the planning and execution of special events, functions, and private bookings.
Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and BOH team to ensure smooth food and beverage service.
- Support the Restaurant Manager in communicating and aligning FOH goals with venue-wide objectives.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory management in conjunction with management.

Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader FOH role within a restaurant or hospitality venue.
- Strong understanding of FOH operations, including reservations, POS systems, and cash handling.
- Experience in staff training and development.
- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification required.
- First Aid certification is advantageous but not essential.
