Disability Support Workers
Two Part-Time Positions
L’Arche Bendigo (affiliated with L’Arche Melbourne)

Applicants are required to undertake a NDIS Safety Screening Check.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develop an understanding about the different types of disabilities experienced by people in L’Arche Bendigo.
· Support the rights, needs and interests of people with disabilities.
· Support community participation providing appropriate levels of personal care
· Coordinate household tasks, appropriately engaging community members
· Promote and plan for a range of leisure activities mindful of the needs and interests of community members.
· Develop effective communication skills encouraging community members to take personal and interpersonal responsibility.
· Promote and participate in the spiritual and prayer life of the community.
· Follow the policies and procedures developed by L’Arche Bendigo.
· Comply with the safety, OH&S and risk management requirements of L’Arche Bendigo and complete the necessary documentation associated with these.
· Participate in professional development as required.
Remuneration: Is in accordance with Level Two (SCHADS Award) by negotiation.
Direct Report: The position has a direct report to the Bendigo Community Coordinator.
Full Time Equivalent: Fifteen-twenty hours per week by negotiation. Sleepovers and some weekend work are a requirement.
