The Role
As a Production Operator on afternoon shift located in Pakenham; you will be an integral part of our team, working within our fast-paced production lines performing a range of duties including machine operation, production, cleaning, packing, fault finding and maintaining our manufacturing area.
Knowledge of food manufacturing highly regarded and advantageous
- Reporting to the Shift Manager, your main duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
- Ensure all activities comply with the company’s relevant OH&S policies and procedures – safety first culture.
- Strong machine operator skillset preferably in the food manufacturing sector
- Understands and adheres to work orders or procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function, or assignment before commencing work.
- Performs any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function, or assignment.
- Maintains good housekeeping and a clean work area in the assigned work area.
- Assures that all work assigned to this position is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions, and requirements.
- Meet production output and standards within the agreed time.
- Commit to and contribute to quality and improvement initiatives.
- Responsible with a commitment to support the plan to implement a site-wide ongoing Food Safety Culture plan.
The person
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in the food manufacturing sector, with a minimum 2 years’ experience as a machine operator.
- Have strong communication skills both verbal and written
- High level of attention to detail and ability to proactively plan
- Be able to adapt and be flexible in the way of change
- Ability to problem solve to make informed decisions to allow escalation if required
- Be a true team player and contribute to team collaboration and trust
