The Role  :
We are seeking applications from a suitable Laboratory Assistant to join the team at Northern Health in a part time (maternity leave) capacity.
Â
This role will be responsible forÂ
- receiving, sorting, preparing and transport of specimens for analysis;
- assisting with the registration of pathology requests into the laboratory information system;
- performing laboratory investigations and general laboratory duties as directed by senior staff. Â
Â
The part time position involves working a rotating roster that includes morning, afternoon, overnight, weekend and public holiday shifts. In addition, there will be a requirement to participate in the on-call roster.Â

To be successful in the role you will have:
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Must have the ability to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
- Participate in the on call roster
