Early Childhood Educator - Certificate III
Part-time Temporary Contract
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Educator to join our team. This position is 3 days per week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and commences on the 28th April 2025 until 19th December 2025.
The Certificate III Educator is responsible for providing high quality early childhood education and care, to children under the direction of the Early Childhood Teacher/Room Leader.
The key objectives of the role include to:
• Maximising children's learning outcomes through playful intentional teaching and developing educational programs informed by the Early Years Learning Framework and the Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics.
• Provide a safe, supportive, and educational environment for children through active supervision, effective health and hygiene practices and enacting the principles of the child safe standards
• Work cooperatively and respectfully with other educators, children, and their families.
• Ensure practices align with the National Quality Standards (NQS) and reflect the service's philosophy, policies, and procedures.
• Providing support and assistance to the Early Childhood Teacher/Room Leader
Essential to the position:
• A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification
• Current Working with Children (WWC) Check
• Current training in Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
Desirable to the position:
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to a vibrant, interesting, varied and appropriate educational program, that will meet or exceed the National Quality Standard
• Previous experience in documenting the learning and development of children and their progression towards achieving the outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework
• Ability to engage in critical self and program reflective practice, to inform future improvements and positive outcomes for children
• Sound level of computer literacy; sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and digital program documentation platforms
