Rapid Plas is a family-owned business which began in 1990 on the family owned farm near Tamworth. Our factory is located in Tamworth NSW, approximately halfway between Sydney and Brisbane. Our products are manufactured on site, and for over 28 years we have supported local communities by selling through our dealer network, supporting local business and local jobs.

We manufacture a range of residential, agricultural, and commercial poly products, including rainwater tanks, molasses and fertilizer tanks, water and feed troughs, and a range of other equine and animal care products including the popular D-shaped fence feeder.

We are seeking highly experienced Project Coordinator to join our team on a full-time and permanent basis. We require reliable individuals with strong integrity who can contribute a positive, can-do attitude to both the role and the team.

Primary Purpose of Position:

Coordinate and plan projects to ensure activities are undertaken to enable completion of tasks to achieve agreed outcomes on time, on budget, to quality standards and within the agreed scope.

Key Accountabilities/Duties:

  • Engaging in negotiations with suppliers to secure contracts aligning with quality, cost, and delivery standards.
  • Elaborating, assessing, and bargaining modifications within contracts, schemes, undertakings, and provisions.
  • Administering the documentation entailed in contractual arrangements, initiatives, undertakings, and rendered services.
  • Addressing inquiries and resolving problems pertaining to contractual agreements, projects, assignments, services, and individuals impacted.
  • Collaborating with Project Supervisors, Design Specialists, Engineering Experts, proprietors, and other stakeholders to ensure the achievement of designated objectives.
  • Overseeing the execution of assignments by contractors and reporting.
  • Providing counsel to higher-ranking management on pressing concerns and executing their determinations.
  • Collecting and evaluating data linked to executed projects and preparing reports on outcomes of these projects.
  • Other reasonable duties as required

Key Result Areas:

Work Health and Safety

  • Comply with RapidPlas’ WHS and CoR policies and procedures
  • Work with due diligence and consideration to safeguard their own health and safety and the health and safety of others
  • Report any potential hazards, incidents or injuries to supervisor or WHS Coordinator immediately
  • Participate in any WHS consultation arrangements
  • Complying with and Return to Work Plan if injured and supporting rehabilitation in the workplace
  • Correctly use all personal protective equipment
  • Comply with emergency and evacuation procedures and site rules if applicable

Quality

  • Ensure work is checked against the relevant document and sign off as required
  • Ensure that the finished work is carried out to a high standard
  • Ensure staff are trained in the correct use of tools and methods to ensure that quality is maintained
  • Work to instructions and other specifications provided

Attendance and Punctuality

  • Be punctual and adhere to time breaks
  • Manage staff who experience excessive absenteeism

Continuous Improvement and Productivity

  • Perform all necessary tasks that are required for you to be successful in your role
  • Anticipate and proceed with tasks without direct instruction consistent with individual experience level
  • Constructively put forward continuous improvement ideas and help to implement them
  • Ensure that your allocated vehicle is kept clean and tidy at all times

Teamwork and Commitment

  • Keep positive working relationship with co-workers
  • Ensure loyalty to the company
  • Look out for co-workers to assist attaining production levels

Key Selection Criteria for Position

Essential:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Project Management
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Project Management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and with a range of different stakeholders
  • Ability to also work autonomously
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite Skills

Salary: Between $70,000 and $75,000 per annum + Super
