Lifestyle OfficerAnthem is seeking a permanent part-time Lifestyle Officer (4 days per week) to join our supportive and inclusive team environment that is passionate about delivering quality care for our residents.

About the Role:The Lifestyle Officer is responsible for motivating residents through a range of recreational, social and cultural activities that promote psychological, social and physical wellbeing.

The Lifestyle Officer:

Prepares and implements a range of recreational activities for residents, as individuals and groups to assist the socialisation process in accordance with the Activities Calendar

Assists residents to attend activities and social program

Supports onsite groups and organisations who are providing services to residents

Establishes rapport with families, staff and volunteers

Work collaboratively with other staff in providing residents with quality care by maintaining the skill level, independence and mobility of individual residents

Actively monitors and reports changes in resident’s lifestyle preferences

Ensure resident personal information, activity plans and other relevant information is documented for program evaluation purposes

Participate in activity program evaluations

Always asks residents about their preferences (consults with residents) for care and service delivery

Delivers care and service in line with privacy training and in keeping with the resident’s preferences

Undertake other duties as directed commensurate with skills, knowledge and experience.

Outgoing, fun, energetic & active

Demonstrate knowledge of aged needs and recreational aids for older people

Flexibility and adaptability (at short notice)

Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

Highly developed oral and written communication skills

Computer skills, including Word and Excel

Customer service skills
-
Commitment to quality management, continuous improvement, and ongoing professional development

Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure or working towards qualification
-
Experience as a Lifestyle Officer or similar role delivering social program or activities in aged care
-
Relevant studies in area of dementia or other related memory loss illness
-
Bus / light ridged vehicle licence
