About the Role
The purpose of the Senior Health Safety & Wellbeing Partner position is to ensure compliance with statutory workplace health and safety requirements, University policy and guidelines. This will be achieved by promoting, managing and maintaining a culture of workplace health and safety through the provision of advice and coordination and monitoring of WHS activities.
The position holder will build a sense of shared purpose and direction across the University by creating alignment between the HSW strategy and the Universities WHS culture and operations. The position will engage in high-level critical thinking and innovative problem solving to manage short, medium and long-term health and safety risks and opportunities. The incumbent will manage, support, facilitate and embed culture change across the university to ensure excellence in the planning of safe and professional practices across University operations.
The Senior Health Safety & Wellbeing Partner will work collaboratively to inform, support and influence line managers to establish practical Health and Safety risk management solutions
With examples, please outline within your Cover Letter, how you meet the following key selection criteria:
1. Ability to translate complex legislative requirements into practical compliance solutions using a collaborative style that sustains these solutions over time.
2. Extensive knowledge and experience in health and safety risk management principles and the application of risk management practices
3. Understanding of the requirements of Health and Safety Management System management
4. Ability to mentor and coach staff and students on the principles and practice of Work Health Safety
Remuneration
Base Salary Range: $138,882 to $145,495 pa (HEW 9)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
