About the role
Orica's emulsion manufacturing plant in Bluevale, NSW, is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to excellence and continuous improvement.
As a Senior Supervisor, you will ensure the efficient and safe production of high-quality emulsion products while leading a dedicated team of professionals. Initially, you will serve as the 2IC (Second-in-Command) to the site supervisor for six months. After this period, you will transition to full site responsibility as the current supervisor moves to a part-time leadership role within Orica.
The role will operate on a standard Monday - Friday roster basis. Healthy salary, bonus and many other rewards will be offered to the successful candidate.
What you will be doing
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the emulsion manufacturing plant, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.Manage production schedules to meet customer demands and quality standards, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.Mentor and develop a team of operators and technicians, and coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and performance.Report on production metrics and performance to senior management, supporting the current site supervisor as 2IC for six months before transitioning to full site responsibility.
What you will bring
Experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.Ability to lead small teams and interface across functions, with a focus on safety, health, and environmental regulations.Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies, with mechanical and process aptitude.Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and reasonable computer literacy.Background in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.A strong desire to learn ANE manufacturing processes.It is a requirement that the site supervisor resides in the local area of Gunnedah / Boggabri / Narrabri.
